Welcome to Southern Cross Martial Arts Gold Coast

Established in 2006 at Carrara Community Centre, Southern Cross Martial Arts (SCMA) is your premier destination for martial arts excellence on the Gold Coast. Founded by Kyoshi John Trebilco, who brings over 30 years of Martial Arts experience including two years of study at the International College of Martial Arts, our school has been at the forefront of innovative teaching methods.

Pioneering Children’s Martial Arts Program

Our Children’s Martial Arts Program, known for its pioneering approach to teaching young kids, has become a global standard embraced by schools worldwide. Kyoshi Trebilco’s dual role as an Assistant Martial Arts Instructor in Ashmore added practical expertise to our foundation.

Growing Together: From Leadership to Instructors

As our vibrant SCMA community grew, our Leadership program played a crucial role. Young members evolved into skilled Instructors, contributing to the school’s success. We take pride in our commitment to growth and skill development.

Expanding Reach Across Four Locations

Responding to the demand for our unique approach, SCMA now operates in four locations: Robina, Merrimac, Carrara, and Mudgeeraba. We’ve kept our student/instructor ratios low, ensuring a personalized and enriching learning experience for all.
